The goal of our 7 day course is to enable you to sail any boat by yourself in a confident, safe and independent way.
You will be able to sail boats in accordance to the sailing licence you have.

What we do
NAVIGATION SKILLS
• meteorology
• chart work
• passage planing and course to steer
• all day and all night navigation
SOLVING MECHANICAL PROBLEMS
• introduction to boat mechanical systems
• engine and propeler shaft checks
• solving engine problems and other mechanical systems on the boat
• solving problems regarding the mast and other sailing equipment
• working on the anchor winch
CLOSE QUARTERS MANOEUVRING
• taking a mooring, alone and in close quarters
• leaving a mooring, alone and in close quarters
• landing to a peer (from all directions)
• anchoring with various techniques
• grabbing a mooring buoy
SKIPPER SKILLS
• the role and responsibilities of a skipper
• Sail trim
• knots
• night navigation, sailing in bad weather
• boat and general preparation for sailing
• rules for avoiding collision on the sea
SAFETY FIRST
• introduction to first aid kid on the boat
• introduction to fire fighting on the boat
• MOB (man overboard) drills under power and sails
• everyday work with WHF station

Skipper with over 19 years of experience in commercial sailing on the Adriatic Sea and over 23 years of experience in competitive sailing. Holder of Yacht Master 500 BT license. Provides skipper services for over 10 renowned charter companies.

Price per person: 6825 Kn (910 EUR)
INCLUDED: skipper-instructor, sailboat, 24 hour technical support from the charter company, liability insurance, final cleaning
NOT INCLUDED: Touristic tax (1€ p/p per day),
Fuel and mooring fees*, food and drink**
* Fuel and mooring fee will roughly be around 50 EUR p/p per week
** Food expenses are shared among candidates if food is made on boat
Booking
Your place is booked as soon as you pay the first instalment, 50% of the total price, Second instalment is to be payed within 30 days before the departure. You can either pay by cash or by bank transfer.

What we expect from you
- Minimum age: 20-years-old
- You are fluent in English
- Valid sailing License, VHF License & First Aid certificate
- Social skills: You are the leader of the yacht and must be ready to step up to this role and guide your guests through a week of living on a yacht.
- Attitude: You want to live on a yacht, meeting new friends from all over the world and being part of an international team of skippers and hosts.
- Availability: To get the most weeks of work you need to be available in our peak period 4th July – 22nd August.
